    • Martin Mullen
      General Manager

      Martin has over 30 years’ experience in the duty free industry and has worked in the Middle East for 20 years. During that time he has worked in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Cyprus developing and running duty free operations. Martin has a wealth of experience in developing new duty free operations and has previously worked on the development of Bahrain Duty free, the duty free shops in the two new airports at Larnaca and Pafos airports Cyprus. More recently he has been working with Qatar Duty Free with the development of their new duty free operation at Hamad International Airport. Martin holds an MBA for Retail from the Institute of Retail Studies at Stirling University, Scotland.

    • Shantha Madurapperuma
      Finance Manager

      Shantha is heading the Finance Department of the Company and is primarily responsible for managing financial affairs, including financial planning, treasury management and implementation of internal controls whilst also overseeing the IT function and warehouse operations. Shantha counts over 18 years of experience in the field of accounting and financial management with over 8 years in travel retail industry. He has also worked as the Financial Consultant / Business Analyst with PriceWaterhouse Coopers and Ernst & Young and as a Financial Accountant with a diversified group of companies having business presence in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Indonesia. Shantha is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK an Associate Member of CPA Australia and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL). He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

    • Pat O'Connor
      Operations Manager

      Pat joined the MDF team in October 2012 as Operations Manager. Pat began his career in Travel Retail in 2009 as Sales Staff in T1 Dublin Airport. In 2010 he was appointed as Retail Manager and was part of the team that successfully opened DAA's new flagship store in T2. Pat was responsible for Operating the successful "Irish Whiskey Collection" which has won numerous awards including the Frontier Award for "Best Concept Store" and also Retail Excellence Irelands award for "Best Store in Ireland". Pat holds a Diploma in Business and Outdoor Education from GMIT in Ireland.

    • Hilal Hamood Ibrahim Al Zadjali
      HR Development Manager

      More than 20 years’ experience in public and private sector mainly in HRM, Finance , Administration and other business areas. Started his career with Oman’s leading Telecom Company where he held several senior positions in Finance, Customer Service, HRM and CEO Office. In addition, he worked as a Learning and Development (L&D) Project Manager for a Multinational Training institute where he was responsible for identifying learning needs, assessing learning programs, delivering training courses and also supervised Training for a Job funded programs targeted to Omani job seekers. Hilal holds an MBA in Business and Finance from Coventry University – UK and He is a member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

    • Mobbashir Abdulmajeed Al- Rustom
      Marketing & Business Development Manager

      Mobbashir has more than 22 years' experience in supplies with an extensive background in the purchasing management; He served as Senior Purchasing Specialist (Director of Purchasing) in one of the biggest governmental organisations. He has attended many professional courses as project development and management in Europe and other courses GCC countries and locally in Oman. Mobbashir has MBA qualification from university of Strathclyde, UK. Apart of it he also has Diploma in Management Consultancy from IBA , Institute of Business Consulting , UK.
